What’s Ahead
Improvements at the Infinite Energy Center are underway
This includes doubling the convention space in the Forum, renovations
to the venues, a Westin hotel, and
the replacement of surface parking with parking decks. North American Properties will also soon begin building the Revel development, a mixed-use entertainment, office, residential, restaurant, and retail district that will encourage visitors
to come early and stay late.
Connect Gwinnett Transit Plan
The Sugarloaf CID was a partner in developing the Gwinnett County’s Connect Gwinnett Transit Plan. One of the key connections in the plan would bring bus rapid transit (BRT) to the Infinite Energy Center and Sugarloaf Mills. BRT functions like light rail with rubber tires. It has dedicated lanes and signal prioritization, so it can speed by other traffic.
